Your Favorite Ticket Stub Could Win You A $100 STUBGUY.COM GIFT CERTIFICATE

As we near the official kickoff date of September 15th for the www.stubguy.com web site and the “Stubguy Tickets/Stubs” Facebook group, it may be a good time to re-evaluate my own personal ticket collection.

To challenge myself, I am going to narrow down my extensive group of tickets to My Favorite 5!

I started with the idea of a “Fave Five” but couldn’t quite whittle the list that narrow. Then I ended up with a final (?) list of 15 favorites, but I am going to make some difficult decisions to finish with a “TOP TEN”. I will reveal my TOP TEN as we get closer to 9/15.

In the meantime, I’ll here is a little background information so you can hopefully understand how I picked my list. I believe collectors tend to lean to the following:

1.    The team they grew up with or their favorite team.

2.    Their favorite player.

3.    That player’s or team’s biggest milestone or accomplishment.

4.    The stub which represents the most memorable moment from the team or player (which may or may not be the biggest win or milestone), or

5.    Perhaps it is whether or not you were in attendance on the significant date.

Maybe it’s the stub you sought out for years before “The Elusive One” finally appeared?

Memories, mementos, milestones. The stories behind these three “M’s” may generate a high percentage of your favorites list.

My “M’s”: I grew up in a small suburb of Cincinnati named Hamilton, Ohio in the 1960’s and ‘70’s.  So, of course, the Reds and Bengals were my teams, and I watched Pete Rose play for 20 years or so before he committed his sins. I also enjoy history, concerts, and both the big screen as well as the “boob tube” so you can understand why I might struggle to narrow the list!

I will reveal my list over the next two weeks, but I want to challenge you to the same exercise! Can you identify your own TOP TEN list of your favorite tickets and why they rate as they do? Maybe you only want to pick 5? If you have read this far, will you share at least YOUR FAVORITE STUB IN YOUR COLLECTION, and why it rates number ONE??!!?? Leave your story and a picture if you wish on the Ticket Talk forum.  We'd  love to see it.

The Stubguy who scores the most “likes” receives a $100 www.stubguy.com gift certificate.

All posts and likes must be up by 12:01 am on 9/20/2025. I dislike rules, so that is the only one. Just be sure to get your posts up early and invite your friends to like. We’ll announce the winner 9/22.
